This year’s festival will feature the Count Basie Orchestra under the direction of Scotty Barnhart. They will present a 5 p.m. jazz clinic, followed by their 7:30 p.m. performance at the Ron Houston Center for the Performing Arts on the Northwest campus.

The Northwest Jazz Ensemble will perform at noon with several guest soloists. All the day’s events (with the exception of the 7:30 p.m. performance) are free and open to the public.
