Jazz-meets-hip hop-soul-funk in one track, “Didn’t You” from the upcoming “Late Night Basie” album is an upbeat arrangement that will make you want to get up and dance. In Memory Of Diane Lillian Basie (1944-2022)

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of Diane Lillian Basie (1944-2022), the beloved only child of the legendary jazz musician, William James “Count” Basie and his wife, Catherine Morgan Basie. Diane died peacefully on October 15 after suffering a heart attack a few days before. Despite being born with cerebral palsy, Diane surpassed expectations due to the excellent love and support she received from her parents, family, friends, and caretakers — and her indomitable spirit.  Services will be private.
